Mona is a disabled, queer, mother, wife, and healer. She spent her childhood in Eugene Oregon, most of her 20's living off the grid in the Siskiyou National Forest, and is enjoying her 30's living in Oakland California.
Mona is a clinical western herbalist who started her relationship with wild medicinal plants at very young age. She has always felt the connection between plant life and their ability to guide us through our physical and emotional challenges. Mona has lived with physical disabilities and emotional trauma since adolescence, she has experienced substance abuse, severe burn-out, and lives with chronic illness. Plant medicine and working with the energetics of plants has changed her entire outlook on how we heal, and how our bodies are connected to the earth and to the stars.
After twenty years of life experience with herbalism she earned a degree in Complementary Alternative Medicine, with a major in Herbal Medicine from the American College of Healthcare Sciences. Previously, Mona has apprenticed with a small herb farm in Lorane Oregon, worked as a lead practitioner with Pharmaca, and is currently working as an herbal pharmacy technician and holistic health practitioner.
